June 30, 2009: House energy bill a piece of S***T
Please watch as House Minority Leader, John Boehner tell us why the "Clean Air and Climate Change Bill" is really a piece of s--t! If you never watch anything else, I strongly urge you to watch John Boehner's statement on the House Floor before the passage of this bill. There are 6 parts in the series, but if you will WATCH AND LISTEN, you will be shocked and amazed at what is in this bill.
This is not what 'may" happen -- this is what the bill, in its current form says MUST happen.
So, you better start paying attention, for the chickens are coming home to roost big time, and YOUR way of life, all the things you have taken for granted are under assault and before it's over, unless YOU take action, you are going to find that you can't even sell your house without having a federal government environmental check. Every aspect of your life, from the energy you use to the toilet you flush, to the car you drive, from your personal decisions about what is best for YOU, are taken away in this bill and turned over to the Federal Government.
The requirements for "energy independence" included in this bill totally ignore the needs of this nation and in some Magical Mystery Tour dreamland, assumes that 'clean energy' can be called forth by having the President wave his magic wand.
This mammoth bill, over 1000 pages long, with a 300 page amendment which was added at 3 in the morning passed the house last Friday. It is a safe bet that NOT ONE member of the House of Representatives have read the entire bill, let alone the amendments. Yet it passed with the help of a small Republican minority!
The Congress then did what it always does when it passes such mammoth, life changing legislation: It went home for the Fourth of July holiday.
The bill will be sent to the Senate for their take on it, but President Obama has made it clear he wants a signable bill before Congress recesses for the summer in August.
This bill does away with the 'checks and balances' which our founders designed with deliberation to ensure that our country would not fall into a dictatorship. It gives the President -- any President -- total power to dictate almost every aspect of our lives.
Then, get on our computers, on your telephones and call Senators Levin and Stabenow and let them know your position on this bill. If you feel, after listening to Rep. Boehner that you can support this nonsense...well, God help us all. You'll find their e-mails under Government Links.
