August 3, 2009:  VOTE TOMORROW
An article in today's Macomb Daily suggest "little" at stake in tomorrow primary election.  I could not disagree more.  Especially for our city.

Please, please take the time to vote tomorrow.

It is no secret, if you have been reading my columns, that I believe we simply cannot afford to re-elect Matt Ahearn.  Ahearn talks about "honor and integrity" and how hard he is working for the residents,  yet at every opportunity -- as in putting out contracts for bids, he has voted "NO."    Nor can we afford to elect Frank Troester, who is, in my opinion,  a hand-picked minion and will find it very difficult if not impossible  to vote against the status quo.

AND WE MUST RE-ELECT KIP WALBY!   His common sense, fiscal conservative voice is needed now more than ever on our council.

Turnout will be critical!  Take the time to exercise your right to vote and go to the polls tomorrow.

The Candidates WORTHY OF YOUR CONSIDERATION and YOUR VOTE are:

KIP WALBY (I)
JACK DOWNEY
MARK MOFFITT (i)
PETER RUBINO
CANDICE RUSIE

VOTE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT ONLY PROMISED FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, THEY HAVE VOTED FOR IT AS COUNCIL MEMBERS.  VOTE FOR THOSE WHO PUT THE INTEREST OF THE RESIDENTS FIRST!

Remember the "Majority of four on council, Ahearn, McFadyen, Hison and Frederick" who resist every attempt to change the culture at city hall.
And then,
Vote for real change tomorrow AND  HELP SET THE STAGE FOR MORE CHANGE IN TWO YEARS!
