August 12, 2009:  Bev, get a life!
How Bev got from work being done on weekends -- such as roofs -- to my questioning the way the city awards contracts, is anyone's guess.  It is obvious that she has no life and I'm sure those residents whose doors she goes knocking on to tell them that they need a "permit" for work being done really appreciate her efforts.

Residents should make an effort to get permits and they should try to ensure that their contractors do it, if it is required.  But to have a city council person roaming the streets and by-ways --- well, it speaks of Big Brother  to me and of how pathetic it is that she had nothing better to do with her time.

Disappointed is the only way I can describe my feelings about the primary election results!  If we think that the council is tilted toward the tax and spend crowd now, just imagine a 5/2 council!

Congratulations to Kip Walby....his fiscal responsibility and integrity were duly rewarded, which makes the vote for Ahearn and Troester all that more mystifying.
