About Me

When I first really started paying attention to politics I was like most people.  I naively believed that if you saw something so obviously against what government was supposed to be all about, all you had to do was speak out and those who had been elected to represent the interest of all the people would, in some Mr. Smith Goes to Washington moment,  realize the error of their ways and do the right thing.

It did not take me long to realize the folly of that idea.  Having worked with Gisela Clark when she ran for Mayor against Ted Wahby here in St. Clair Shores,  I saw first hand how dirty and miserable politics was.

Sadly, it has not changed throughout the years and if anything, has gotten worse.  Not because the politicians are any more conniving than they used to be, but because we as citizens no longer seem to possess a sense of outrage.   We have allowed the bar to be lowered to a point where the most base and banal in our society are  setting policy.

Where once we would have marched on the steps of city hall or the state or national capitol when our rights were abridged or taken away all together, now we sigh and accept it.  In a million ways we have allowed government, on all levels, to assume powers that they are not constitutionally empowered to have and unless and until we stand up and say no more, it will continue to the point where we are mere minions working to support our city, state and national governments.

So, on these pages you will read my opinions, my views and my ramblings and I hope, somewhere along the way you'll realize that it is up to YOU and to me and to the millions of other Americans who in their hearts know that we are falling far from the tree of liberty and into the lap of tyranny.

Evil triumphs when good men do nothing.  Remember that if you remember nothing else.  And, as always,...

Speak out, speak loud,  speak often and never, ever, never let an elected official tell you that your city hall, your county seat, your state or national capitol is not "the proper place to do it".
